Can you help us solve a local history mystery?
These silver-plated rings were given to the Friends of G. O. Edwards Park by George Oswald Edwards himself. The rings bear a coat of arms with peacock feathers and a ribbon bearing the motto “En Avant”, the initials “L.H.S.”, and the year 1957. The mark inside has the letters “AI” in a circle, and then says “Imperial E. P. N. S. A PHOENIX PRODUCT”. If you have any ideas about what the coat of arms and the initials represent, please get in touch with the library.
