Killed in Action:

Bien Hoa Province 29 January 1968 during enemy contact. Alec was wounded by rocket fire about 4.30pm. The first attempt to evacuate him failed when the helicopter was hit by enemy fire and holed twelve times. A subsequent attempt was successful but Alec died in hospital at around 6pm.
