Life Skills for Young People: Budgeting 101

Thursday 14th May 2026

Ages 16 - 25 | Free

Budgeting 101 is an introduction to supportive, practical tips and tricks for young adults who are starting to manage their own money. The session introduces simple, realistic budgeting skills, including understanding income, tracking expenses, paying bills, and planning for regular costs like rent, food, and transport.

The workshop recognises that financial skills are not always taught and that everyone starts somewhere. Participants are encouraged to learn at their own pace in a safe, non-judgemental environment, with a focus on building healthy money habits that support independence and stability.

Presented by a qualified Financial Counsellor from Sussex Street Community Law Services.

Bookings are essential and can be made online, in person or over the phone.
