Named for: Charles William Alday (1872 - 1956).

Charles William Alday, Town Clerk, Municipality of Victoria Park (photo is excerpt from the photo municipality photo board) 1916-1917.

Alday was a Councillor of the Municipality of Victoria Park from 1909 to November 1911. He was the Assistant Town Clerk (1914-1915) and then Town Clerk of the Municipality of Victoria Park from 1916 to 1917. The latter year was the year the municipality amalgamated with the City of Perth. There is no evidence of him continuing in the employ of the City of Perth after the amalgamation, though he is known to have continued working in similar capacities for other local government authorities both in metropolitan Perth and regional WA.
