Life Skills for Young People: Tenancy 101

Thursday 11th June 2026

Ages 16 - 25 | Free

Renting Basics for Young Adults.

Tenancy 101 is a practical life skills workshop designed to support young adults as they move into renting for the first time. The workshop breaks down the basics of renting in a clear and easy-to-understand way, including tenant rights, tenancy obligations, and what to expect before, during, and at the end of a lease.

Participants will learn common do’s and don’ts, how to avoid common rental issues, and what to do if things go wrong. The session focuses on building confidence, understanding rights, and knowing where to get help — without judgement or assumptions.

Presented by an experienced Tenant Advocate from Sussex Street Community Law Services.

Bookings are essential and can made online, in person or over the phone.
